 It works ok on my ZV5000 laptopSep 14, 2009
The connector does seem a little loose when you first put it, but I haven't had any problems since I don't move my laptop from my desk. It's a servicable replacement for a reasonable price. If you sit your laptop in your lap it will probably keep falling out though, as the other reviews indicated.

Same happen to me. They say is for HP Pavilion ZV5000, and it does not fit into the computer...

Not as decribed - does NOT work with HP pavillion series laptopsOct 16, 2008
This AC adapter does NOT work with HP ZV5000 pavillion series laptops. The end that plugs into the computer is not the right size, and it does not fit into the computer. It is useless for HP laptops, so please be aware of that if that is your intended use.
Also, I do not have a compaq laptop, but owners of them should be wary of buying this product.
