I love this computerApr 02, 2009 I love this computer! I had another Vaio, but to be quite honest...it wasn't that good. This one however is fast, and it doesn't get scratched, it's edges aren't sharp... Really, it's just amazing. Unfortunately all the media programs don't work well with Itunes, but even the music box it comes with was awesome. Basically, I LOVE this computer!!! Did I mention it has blu-ray and comes with like a million spots for USB cables? AWESOME!!!

Very pleasedJan 20, 2009 Hi have been looking for "the perfect" machine for my light daily use and am extremly happy with this laptop. It's great sleek look and lightweight make it even better. The webcam and mic work very well as Im on SKYPE everyday with friends in Europe and Asia. The speed and internet connect is great. The battery life is OK..I keep mine on High Performance so it takes more battery life..Icing on the cake is the blue ray technology..The screen is super cool...
Buy it. You won't be sorry.

Very happy with this computer.Jan 07, 2009 I am very happy with this Sony Vaio. It is my first experience with Sony as I've owned Gateway and Toshiba laptops previously. I concur with the first reviewer's comments. I was apprehensive about the Vista OS, but I have been pleasantly surprised. I am not into heavy duty gaming or downloading and use the Vaio for light personal use as I am on the computer at work all day long. Overall, it is an excellent product which more than meets my daily needs and allows plenty of growth for the future. Highly recommended.

vaio vgn-ns190jNov 29, 2008 I enjoyed ordering this computer over the internet. I researched it thoroughly on Sony.com and then ordered it from Amazon. I've owned two Vaios before this one, so clearly I feel the Vaio brand is a good one. This one has modest performance. It has the slower 250gb hard drive and a 2.0mhz dual core processor. It does have 4gb of ram. I use Photoshop extensively and I find the performance of this computer to be more than acceptable. I frequently have several programs running simultaneously and this computer has no trouble keeping up. It's thinner and lighter than my previous Vaio frv37. It has a glossy screen. My other Vaios had matt screens. I find the screen to be bright with excellent contrast and vivid colors. In most cases, I find viewing the screen quite easy, but in backlight conditions, the screen will reflect light sources. This Vaio seems to run cooler than my other ones. It also has a smaller AC/DC converter in the power line which further drops the weight of the overall unit. Most of the external connections are along the sides of the computer. The exceptions are the power cord and Ethernet connections which are at the back. The keyboard has keys which are flatter than my other Vaios and it has taken me a little while to get use to them. The speakers and volume are the best I have experienced yet on a Vaio, but they are still laptop quality. I like the function controls for screen brightness and volume control better than by previous Vaios. They require two key inputs instead of three and there is a mute key. This Vaio has Blu.ray disc technology, but I haven't used it yet. A bit about Vista; I had heard nothing but bad reviews on Vista, so my expectations were low, but I find that the system works very well. The overall esthetics of the operating system is very appealing. This is also my first experience with Mircosoft Office 2007 which only comes on the computer as a trial. I bought the full package and I love it. Again, the esthetics are very nice, but the efficiently of the controls and their placement are much improved. In a few years, I suspect I'll be looking for another Vaio.
