3Bracelet Too smallJul 27, 2010
Was greatly disappointed to get the watch and find the bracelet was too "small". No way to adjust it larger as it was already adjusted to maximum size. First watch I've ever gotten where I didn't have to take at least one link out to fit so I really wonder if this is a Mens watch rather than for a boy.

Watch looked nice, was heavy and the right size, digital and analog is what I wanted and the back light works great in the dark, but can't keep it since it doesn't fit.

I suppose that I could go somewhere and have a link added, but there was nothing in the sparse documentation that indicated that was possible.

So unless my son can use it (it fits him fine), it will be returned and I will once again start the watch search.

5top notch, get one, Yeah!!!Jul 03, 2010
I bought this watch after looking at literally hundreds of others (yes I'm anal). My price point was under $1000.00 cash. I've also had all different kinds and brands over the years because I'm very hard on my watches. I wanted a watch that I could use for business with the digital functions for the sports and lifting I do as well. This watch is the best of both worlds. The digital face manually turns off when you don't want it on for a very clean look. This watch is also all metal and the case has a polished look which was very crisp looking. Some other Timex watches I've owned look cheap or too sporty by use of plastic, resin, or rubber. This one is different. It is very sharp looking and the pictures don't do it justice. People who complained about the weight are either big babies or really tiny framed. It has a good solid feel but it's not overpowering even remotely. The clasp is also a classic Timex clasp... no issues there.

Some other reviewers said the analog and digital times get off sync quickly. I didn't have any problems once I set both times it was just fine. No, I didn't measure it to the 10,000th of a second but if you're really doing that you need a life, seriously.

Other reviewers said the light is not bright or the alarm is not loud. Again no issues here either. The Indiglo is the best I've seen from the 3 other Timex I've owned and stayed on for a solid 4 seconds. The alarm sound is just fine. No, it's not going to wake you up if your house is burning down but for daily reminders it's perfect. Besides lets face it if you're too stupid to use an alarm clock instead of a watch then it's your own fault. If it gets dim or really weak change the battery genius.

Next it the digital functions. It's pretty much classic Timex. No tides, atomic times from China, or answers to the meaning of life. It has just the necessities, a good digital chronograph, multi-timer, and multi-alarms. This also means your have to buy a $10.00 battery every 3-5 years which is no biggie. Oh also the digital display is nice and big vs some of the other brands I've looked at. Yes, if your need a magnifying glass to read the digital display it probably isn't too helpful. No problems here.

The only drawback I found was the 100m water resistance. I took this watch for a swim and it was just fine. Just don't push the buttons while swimming (duh). I would've liked a 200m or 300m water resistance so for diving purposes. If you don't dive though your golden with the 100m.

Finally lets talk price. I ordered this one along with a $573.00 Citizen Eco something or other and a $260.00 Nixon. I returned the Citizen and Nixon, enough said. All in all for less then a $80.00 you can't go wrong, get one. Thanks and God bless.

3Good.. while it lasted that is..Jun 03, 2010
I like the idea of an analog and digital watch all in one nice set up. This watch provided that and more. And for the most part it was a pretty good dress watch that I used for my everyday watch. It was easy to look at when I needed the time or date and didn't look like a cheap watch and was made of pretty good quality metal all around.

It has light up features that will let you see the read outs in the dark (For only 2 seconds which isn't very practical), has a sports watch timer which came in handy if you wanted to know how long you were doing something for or how long you had left on the parking meter and of course an alarm you can set to go off at a given time. It adjusted for day light savings and for the most part was a very nice watch which I enjoyed greatly.

What I didn't like was that once the battery went on it, the watch was never the same again. It took about 4 or 5 years for the battery to die out on the watch so you get a good life span on it. But once said battery was changed I could never get the analog hands to work again no matter how many batteries were tried and even when I brought it to a store to fix they said it was no good. For some reason changing the battery for it just won't bring it back. The digital worked fine again so I managed as it was a nice watch that I had grown found of and honestly the digital part of it was more vital than the analog.

Well 2 years later the battery stopped again and now the watch is no good. Locks up at 12:00 and can't change the settings on it. The watch had finally died and no way to revive it. Will I buy this watch again? No I won't. I can't accept an item that works well when it works but only works onces around and won't again like any other watch I have owned. And from reading the reviews I'm not the only one dealing with battery issues with the watch.

It's a nice affordable and good quality watch, but once it dies you better be prepared to either deal with what you have working with it if anything or get a new watch all together. I am surprised that Timex would release such a faulty piece of equipment. It has a nice set up and great features but all they have to do is give it better battery life and not have it work improperly once the battery is replaced to at least give you a good long time of using the watch through a life time. As it is now the watch is worthless and I have to get another.

I say give it a try if you want as it is a nice looking analog-digital watch. But I won't be buying it again due to not getting more life and usage out of it. Watches should last longer than 7 years. Sometimes I feel things are made not to last and this just came off as that due to the weird things that were happening after the battery died the first time around.

But overall I would say try a different but similar brand watch that may give you better life than this one does. Such a shame too as I really did enjoy it when it worked right.

4Great WatchMay 26, 2010
Love the watch! Great features, nice fit and look! The hands broke after a couple years of use but everything else still works. I'm pretty hard on the watch too.

3Not quite worthy of the Iron-Man brandMay 22, 2010
Had the watch for a little over the one-year warranty before the hands got stuck , as other reviewers have said. Also was bummed that the hands and digital displays worked independently and had to work to keep them in sync.
