5Probably the only Swiss Army knife to haveDec 13, 2009
It actually has a real Phillips driver - enough said. So many of the Swiss army models are annoying - because they are always either missing the Phillips driver, or the cork-screw - this one has it all.

4Great pocket knifeNov 12, 2009
This is a great pocket knife -- if you wear jeans or Dockers. It is more than 1" thick, but it not too heavy.

I own a number of multi-tools and Swiss Army knives and this is my favorite for every day use. The pen, standard Phillips, flat heads, flash light, scissors, and wood saw are all useful to me on a daily basis. These are the features I need without the tools that increase the size and weight of some of the other pocket knives. IMHO if you want a wrench with your SAK, buy the Spirit (which I also own.)

Here is my break down on how to select a tool.

Spirit or Wave: either will work for you if you need a tool for moderate loads with locking tools. I prefer the Spirit as a stand-alone tool; and the Wave for the extensions. A pouch is preferred.

CyberTool 29: for small electronics work. This is the right size for pocket carry. It is only missing the scissors for completeness. The scissors are available in the CyberTool 34, but I can't justify the size and weight created by the wrench.

Executive or Manager: these are great choices if you wear dress slacks.

Huntsman Lite: covers a lot of territory without being excessive. I wear jeans to work. So, this works for me.

BTW: One reviewer complained about the thinness of the pen and how painful it was to use. Might I suggest the following. Lift up the corkscrew and place the pen in the slot that extends from the corkscrew though the end of the pocket tool. Then close the corkscrew to "lock in" the pen. Now the tool acts as a handle for the pen. I think the slot was designed for the pen. The pen is very secure and works well. I've taken notes for more than an hour without any wrist strain.

Enjoy.

5Simply the best!Apr 30, 2009
I have had several knives over the years and many Swiss Army types be it Wenger, Victorinox, Buck or some Chinese knockoff. In any case, the tool selection on this knife is simply the best. The Huntsman is a good start but the Huntsman lite really takes it to another level. I have owned mine for approximately a year and it is always on my side. There is not a day that goes by that I do not use it for something. A key feature to this knife is the philips head screwdriver that opens up on the end opposed to the middle section in place of the corkscrew. It also includes a pen and a pin that are not found on the Huntsman. The ruby color is attractive and the LED lite is a handy tool to help round this pocket knife out. The Huntsman Lite will help you out of a lot of tough spots when you didn't have the time to pack your tool box. Don't leave home with out it. I would recommend buying a leather holster for it as it can be a bit awkward in the pocket although doable if need be.

5Lovin' it.Jun 23, 2008
My light battery is dead (the switch is easy to accidentally turn on by pocket-motions, plus I used it a bunch). My pen is empty (used it a bunch). I've used every tool on this thing, and haven't regretted it in the least. For me, it was just the right balance between having tools I wanted and not having tools I didn't want (I prefer phillips screwdrivers to corkscrews, for example, but the corkscrew on this one serves duty as an eyeglass-driver holder, and it's got a phillips elsewhere). A bit bulky (compared to my old Tinker) but I'm very happy with it.

4meets expectationNov 11, 2007
Having a pocket knife in my briefcase is a habit that has helped me on a daily basis but unfortunately I tend to lose it every so often . Having Amazon.com available to quickly and easily provide a high quality replacement is a major asset . The Swiss army knife is versatile , well put together and sturdy . Now I need help with how to prevent myself from losing it and how to remember to put it in a different location when I'm heading to the airport .
