Close to perfectAug 24, 2010 This is a great little pocket knife. I collect knives, have maybe 100 quality pocket knives, and I choose to carry this one frequently. Victorinox makes some of the highest quality knives at such a low price point it's simply amazing. This particular model has a classic look that just won't ever get old. Highly recommended.

My favouriteMay 14, 2010 I purchased the first version off an Dutch soldier at a train station as they were loading their tanks onto trains after a military excersise in the '80s. It was always my favourite knife when growing up. I actually thought the knife was an 'Dutch army exclusive'. At some point I lost the knife.
When I saw the knife on Amazon I purchased a new version immediately. I love the this version of the simple Swiss army knife over the ones that have red plastic handle covers. More robust. And great utility.
Great knife for backpackingApr 14, 2010 After owning one of these for over 20 years I recently lost it. I'm not hesitating to buy another one. Over the years my family/friends have used other knives and I've recieved other knives as gifts. This knife remained the best. It has the basic tools you need for camping, it doesn't weigh much, it's incredibly well built, it's easy to grasp, and it looks great. The best testimonial is whenever someone in my family had some serious work to do involving a knife and someone else offered their knife I'd always hear, "No, get me Daddy's knife."
Great gentlemen's folderFeb 22, 2010 I got tired of some of the looks I got when pulling out my Spyderco or Benchmade knives. Even my SOG Twitch II would have people look at me differently. I needed a knife for those occasions and places where pulling a knife out would be in bad taste. This knife is perfect. Everyone, familiar with knives or not, is familiar with Swiss Army knives. This version in aluminum instead of red is elegant enough to carry in my suit and the blade shape is very unthreatening. It not being a lock blade, I am able to carry it in my pocket in Los Angeles instead of having to clip it plain view.
Great EDC pocket knifeFeb 21, 2010 This may be the closest thing to the best all-around pocket knife I've seen. I've used every tool on it and they all work as promised. The blade can be sharpened to where it will shave. The knife is compact, slim, and inobtrusive. I am sold on Victoinox tools!
